We live in America the beautiful, America the safe. I am reading a book about the Mideast conflict and I thought I would share a little bit of this book with you.
"Children are especially terrified. In Siderot, I was taken to a large, specially fortified indoor playground....with bomb shelters, anti shock walls and an emergency broadcast warning system.....The objective is to give children a sense of security." (pg 9-10)
Here in America we want the kids out of the house we send them outside to play, or maybe take them to McDonald's if the weather is bad. Imagine having to take them to a government sponsored fortified building and hope it doesn't take a direct hit.
Yes we are safe, yes we are free, thank you goes out to our Military who are fighting in other lands so we don't need this type of "play-place" here.
In a world where it is continuing to get harder and harder to just get by, I am challenging people to step up and make a decision to change the world. Help those around you, find a need and fill it. Give people and hand up, not a hand out.
