Katy Perry is Katy Hudson Christian Performer

Yes it is true Katy Perry first started performing under her real name of Katy Hudson as a teen and produced a Christian Album.  She then crossed over to Main Stream and became a hit sensation.  I am not going to judge her for that choice, but it is a fact.  She is incredibly popular and a much sought after teen and young adult star.  She has sold millions of albums under the name Katy Perry and shows no sign of slowing down.  Although some of her stuff is quite racy, such as "I Kissed a Girl" or "California Girl" and even some borderline vulgar like "Peacock" She does have some very good stuff like "Firework" which talks about self worth and the fact that you are special no matter who you are.  I would suggest that song to any music collection.  Her new song is "E.T." and is available for single download and is available on Amazon, Itunes etc.  I have listed a video with the lyrics so you can listen to it, it is ok and not to racy.  It is a Romeo and Juliet kind of song, about loving someone who is different and maybe not accepted. It only mellowly focuses on the physical and is mostly the thrill of the thought of this forbidden relationship. Check out the video.  Decide for yourself if it is something you would want your kids to listen to.  My kids have it in their collection.
